Just a great place to unwind. Very quiet on the grounds. ☺We enjoyed the setting looking over the grounds, great tasting quiches, bacon and sausage, parfaits, juices, different coffees, etc for breakfast, relaxing on the grounds and hot tubing, great room with king size bed, and great views from our room. Just a great place to unwind. Very quiet on the grounds.

This place is a special gem. My sweetheart and I got married here and it was just a completely magical experience. The location is amazing, right between downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National park, and right along the river, so the natural beauty is exceptional. The rooms are all beautifully appointed, each with its own unique and curated touches, nothing generic, each invested with beauty and care. The breakfast in the inn in the morning was delicious and attractive. It was wonderful to have all the families and close friends stay over and share the lovely mountain morning and breakfast together and enjoy the time together. The property also has pretty nature walks, hot tubs and saunas and other fun things. And the people who work here, like Nathan the innkeeper are so kind and attentive. Overall, this place is really special gem.

This was a really nice place to stay in Estes Park. Relatively secluded and quiet. Helpful and friendly staff but not intrusive. Room was very comfortable and just what we needed with its size and great deck. We were very busy running around Estes and RMNP so didn't really take advantage of all the amenities that were available from the resort but the accommodation was excellent.

☺This is a beautiful place. Our room was clean and had so much detail. The grounds are beautiful with a river flowing through it. The staff was friendly and attended our every need. The breakfast was delicious and they even made a special vegetarian quiche for us. I would highly recommend this oasis.

We loved Riversong ❤️ We stayed in Cowboys Delight and it was perfect 🤠 The bed was super comfy and the tub was a real treat after a long hike in the Rockies. The deck was a lovely place to relax in the late afternoon sun and we enjoyed the 7 Benches Trail! We were lucky enough to find a handsome elk relaxing on the other side of the river, a real treat! Last but not least the breakfast - it was delicious and the selection of sweet and savoury was perfect! Thanks to the whole team at Riversong for a wonderful stay and Nathan in particular for the driving tip, the old trail was a great experience. ☺Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

How to Create the Perfect In-Room Date Night Retreat This Fall at Riversong

In room date night retreats are perfect for when autumn settles into Estes Park, when the days are crisp and golden, and the nights cool and starry. Elk bugle in the meadows, leaves crunch underfoot, and the river sparkles as it winds past the inn. While the outdoors is breathtaking, fall is also the perfect time to enjoy the changing season by day and stay in a little longer to create an intentional in-room date night retreat — cozy, connective, and filled with memories you’ll carry long after the season fades.

The Importance of Intention

Date nights and mini-retreats matter. They remind us to press pause, to invest in each other, and to create space away from the rush of daily life. At Riversong, everything around you — the river, the trails, the comfort of your suite — is designed to support that intention. Our doors are open, the mountains are at your doorstep, and the chance to reconnect is waiting.

🍷 Step 1: Start with a Toast

Set the tone by sharing a glass of wine, cider, or sparkling water. Pair it with our charcuterie board add-on, filled with cheeses, meats, fruits, and sweets. Use this moment to set an intention for the evening:

  • Tonight, let’s focus on slowing down.
  • Let’s talk about our dreams for the next year.
  • Let’s just laugh and enjoy being together.
  • Lets take time to feel gratitude for how far we’ve come!

🥗 Step 2: Create a Meal With Meaning

Whether you dine out, or choose to get food brought back into the inn with a picnic in the meadow or the privacy of your patio, make your dinner meal a time for slowing down and connection.  Conversations flow differently when you linger over bites and clink glasses in celebration. Ask each other questions you wouldn’t on a normal day:

  • What’s one of your favorite memories from this past year?
  • What adventure would you love us to take next fall?
  • How do you feel we’ve grown the most this year?
  • What are you most proud of this far in your life?

These little sparks keep communication flowing and set the tone for presence.

🔥 Step 3: Sink Into Comfort

Fall is for cozying up — and our suites are designed for exactly that. Fireplaces glow, blankets invite you to curl up, and deep tubs are perfect for a shared soak. Outdoors, the hot tub and sauna provide a warm contrast to the crisp mountain air.

These little comforts are more than amenities; they’re invitations to slow down, relax, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

🌌 Step 4: Enjoy The Magic of a Mountain Evening

Step outside your door and the property becomes part of the retreat. Wander the Seven Benches Trail as the sun dips behind the peaks, or stroll the river walk under a canopy of stars. The night air, the sound of the Big Thompson, and the stillness of the pines create a backdrop where words often feel unnecessary.

Take in the colors of the turning leaves, capture the brilliance of autumn light, and breathe in the crisp mountain air that refreshes with every step. Pause to notice the wildlife that shares these meadows and rivers.

But most of all — hold hands, breathe deeply, and let the mountains remind you what it feels like to be fully present.

🎲 Step 5: Laugh and Play

Not every moment has to be serious — laughter is its own kind of intimacy. Bring a board game, card, or mystery puzzle. Write in a shared journal or trade lighthearted questions. Make bets- Who wins what if they win at our outdoor chess or jenga? What does the loser have to do if they lose? Keep it fun, have a challenge or two, and take time to enjoy some laughter.

🌙 Step 6: Drift Off With Gratitude

End your retreat by writing down one thing you’re grateful for about each other — then tuck it into a book or suitcase to find later. Drift to sleep in the peace of your suite, the sound of the river outside, and the promise of a delicious breakfast in the morning.

💛 Why It Works at Riversong

Riversong is more than a stay — it’s a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect. With hot tubs, saunas, private decks, riverside trails, and gourmet breakfasts, everything you need to create your own in-room retreat is right here.

Spend your day exploring downtown Estes Park and the breathtaking beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park — then return to the inn for a cozy in-room date night. It’s the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.

🌟 Make It Your Own

Every couple is different, and that’s the beauty of an in-room retreat. Whether your night includes a charcuterie board, picnic, a soak in the sauna, stargazing by the river, or simply curling up with cocoa by the fire, it’s yours to create. When booking, you can even add chocolate-dipped strawberries, or flowers to make your date night extra special.

At Riversong Inn Retreat, we believe the best memories aren’t just made outdoors on the trails — they’re also made in the quiet, cozy moments you share together.
