EXCELLENT Based on 15 reviews Posted on Opentable Mike and SueVerified We had a memorable tea experience at Riversong! The food was delicious and a gluten free request was happily accommodated! Our hosts and servers, Iris and Daniel, were very friendly, on top of providing excellent service, and they made us feel right at home in a cozy setting. We enjoyed our leisurely afternoon to the max and look forward to returning!!!Posted on Opentable RebeccaVerified Three of us girlfriends decided to go to tea at Riversong to celebrate one of our birthdays. We had the BEST time. Charming inn. Plentiful, delicious food. Extensive tea selection. Attentive service. Beautiful mountain setting- we even got to watch a young deer quietly graze near the river. After 3 (!) glorious hours, we reluctantly made our way back home already planning our next Riversong visit.Posted on Opentable CarlaVerified Very special place. Staff was attentive and very nice and the food was excellent and abundant. Way too much for the two of us. We took home boxes full and were able to enjoy it again at home. Highly recommend!Posted on Opentable CatherineVerified Beautiful setting, plentiful and tasty food. Lovely service.Posted on Opentable TeresaVerified If you love nature, but also enjoy the elegance of a proper afternoon tea experience, Riversong retreat is for you. For an all inclusive experience, plan ahead and book a room.Posted on Opentable MaddiVerified Amazing all around. Great service, yummy tea, great ambiance. Made our wedding day so special!Posted on Opentable JudithVerified One of the best tea experiences I have ever had. Beautiful area, great food. Expert service. Would do this again.Posted on Opentable HeatherVerified This whole experience was wonderful! My husband and I were the only ones having tea in the dining room, and the staff (Nathan and Daniel) were willing to give us quite a bit of their time to share their stories and travels with us. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable with lace doilies on each table and potted plants hanging from the ceiling. The tea menu had several options and came out piping hot. There were courses of food provided, starting with charcuterie and followed by the three-tier high tea server with more tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries than we've ever had at a high tea elsewhere (we took more than half home). We were also invited to explore the grounds before departing; it's a gorgeous property.

Yes, we can accommodate parties up to 20 by the River, 6 in the Gazebo and 12 in the Lodge. You can book online for parties up to 10. If your party is over 10 please email us at afternoontea@romanticriversong.com.
We love kids, though Riversong Inn Retreat is typically an adults-only venue for our bed & breakfast. For afternoon tea we permit children, though they are charged at the full price as we do not have a child’s menu. We would suggest children coming only if they are 10+ years old as to not impact the serene experience of other guests.
Please email our team at afternoontea@romanticriversong.com at least 72 hours before your reservation.
You may cancel or change your booking online up to 7 days prior to your reservation and receive a full refund. After this date we have already started purchasing and preparing for your reservation. In the event of an emergency please contact us at afternoontea@romanticriversong.com to discuss if we can accommodate your request.
Afternoon Tea is “reservation only” as we prepare items specific to what is on our schedule for the upcoming day(s). We are unable to accommodate walk-ins.
The tea requires a pre-payment as we have a high demand/limited tables available and we make everything fresh to order. Requiring a pre-payment helps keep our processes in alignment as we prepare for your arrival and ensure that you have a fabulous afternoon tea experience.
The Riversong Inn Retreat was built in the early 1900s and is not set up to be ADA accessible in the main common areas, unfortunately. There are stairs leading up to the lodge and there is uneven terrain/steps leading to the Gazebo. There is a somewhat level path leading to the pavilion by the river AND we have a golf cart on site that can help transport people down to the pavilion if needed.
