We enjoyed our stay immensely ☺The room was spectacular. Wood frame bed, large room, comfortable bed, large shower/tub. We had our own hot tub right outside our room. Breakfast was fantastic. While we were on a small dead-end road, it was very conveniently located near the RMNP entrance. ☹Some of the stonework around the grounds was a bit rundown. Didn't detract from our visit but didn't add to the beauty of the place either.

Incredibly pleasant stay—even if just for a night ☺The lodging was in such a beautiful location and close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was quiet and peaceful for the one night we had; we absolutely would have loved to have stayed longer. Facilities were as listed, innkeeper was very friendly, and check in and out was easy. We missed breakfast from sleeping in but were still able to catch some snacks and drinks. ☹The path to get to the property is narrow but easily drivable.

This place is a special gem. My sweetheart and I got married here and it was just a completely magical experience. The location is amazing, right between downtown Estes and Rocky Mountain National park, and right along the river, so the natural beauty is exceptional. The rooms are all beautifully appointed, each with its own unique and curated touches, nothing generic, each invested with beauty and care. The breakfast in the inn in the morning was delicious and attractive. It was wonderful to have all the families and close friends stay over and share the lovely mountain morning and breakfast together and enjoy the time together. The property also has pretty nature walks, hot tubs and saunas and other fun things. And the people who work here, like Nathan the innkeeper and Iris are so kind and attentive. Overall, this place is really special gem.

Walk the Labyrinth at Riversong

At Riversong Inn Retreat, guests often come seeking quiet, renewal, and time to slow down. One of the most peaceful places on the property to do just that is the Riversong Labyrinth.

Set in a tranquil corner of the grounds, the labyrinth offers a simple but powerful experience — a quiet walk that invites reflection, calm, and connection with the natural beauty surrounding the inn.

What Is a Labyrinth?

A labyrinth is an ancient walking path used for meditation and contemplation. Unlike a maze, there are no dead ends or wrong turns. The path gently winds toward the center and then back out again.

Walking the labyrinth becomes a form of moving meditation, allowing the mind to quiet as you follow the path step by step.

For centuries, labyrinths have been used around the world as places for:

  • Reflection and prayer

  • Stress relief and mindfulness

  • Personal insight and creativity

  • Simply enjoying a quiet moment

A Peaceful Moment in Nature

The Riversong Labyrinth is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. As you walk the path, you may hear the nearby river flowing, birds calling in the trees, or the wind moving softly through the pines.

Guests often find that the rhythm of walking the labyrinth helps them slow down and settle into the peaceful atmosphere of the property.

Some choose to walk the labyrinth at sunrise when the mountains are glowing with morning light. Others visit in the evening when the property grows quiet and the sky begins to fill with stars.

How to Walk the Labyrinth

There is no right or wrong way to experience the labyrinth. Many guests simply follow the path slowly and allow their thoughts to settle.

A traditional approach includes three simple stages:

Release
As you walk toward the center, let go of worries, stress, or distractions.

Receive
Pause for a moment in the center, allowing space for clarity, gratitude, or intention.

Return
As you walk back out, carry a sense of calm and renewal with you.

Some guests walk in silence, while others set an intention for their stay or reflect on their time in the mountains.

A Unique Part of the Riversong Experience

The labyrinth has become a meaningful part of the experience at Riversong. Guests often describe it as one of the quiet highlights of their stay — a simple walk that helps them reconnect with themselves and with the peaceful surroundings.

Whether you visit for a moment of reflection, a mindful walk, or simple curiosity, the labyrinth invites you to slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains.
