History of Riversong Inn Retreat
Riversong Inn Retreat has been a wonderful place of adventure for over 30 years. Some guests have called this place a “marriage spa”. This is an amazing place for many guests who return time and time again. You really are in a very magical place!

When you check in, our Innkeepers give you information about your room and the property. This book goes over much of it again and adds some tidbits we think may be helpful.

Receive a 20% discount off your winter stay—from November 1st to April 30th—if you book now during this stay.

Main House Access
The front door has a brass panel above the glass door knob. There are 5 buttons: the top button is 1 the bottom is 5. To open the door press button 3, then press button 4, and turn the brass knob to the right (towards the river). The code will come in handy when you come in for breakfast in the morning between 8 and 9:30 am.

Guest Services
Across from the main house (where you checked in) is a blue door with a red heart. This is Guest Services. Inside is a refrigerator with water/ice dispenser and bottles, an ice machine, trash and recycling containers, and a landline telephone in case your cell phone coverage fails and you need to make an emergency call. Guest Services is open 24 hours a day. Help yourself to the water and use the fridge for food storage if you need it.

Please ensure the door stays shut to keep the bears from looting the refrigerator.

Internet – Wifi

We have free Wifi! The code to access our network is ‘myhottub’ and on the back of the envelope you were given at check in. We are in the mountains and sometimes the Wifi does not work. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope a walk by the river will help you relax.

No Cigarettes, Marijuana, Vaping or Smoking
We do not allow smoking or vaping of any kind anywhere on our 26 acres. If you need to smoke or vape, head to the driveway just outside our main entrance gate. You will find a red ash bucket there.

Candles
We do not allow burning candles. The candles in your room are battery operated. Just flip the switch on the bottom to illuminate. The wicks do NOT light, please don’t try. It mars the wax and ruins the candles.

Journals
From the first day Riversong Inn Retreat opened its doors to travelers, we have had journals in all the rooms for guests to write their experiences. There are stories that will make you laugh, some may make you cry and others will make you wonder if the stories are real. These journals are true treasures. Feel free to add your story because it’s your turn to make a future guest wonder, laugh and experience.

Breakfast-To-Go
If you are headed into the park early or need to catch a morning flight, ask an Innkeeper about our Breakfast-To-Go option. Advanced notice (day before) is required; we cannot accommodate a morning-of request.

Having Pizza Delivered Tonight?
Many guests love it here so much they don’t want to leave…even for dinner. That’s great! All we ask is that you meet the delivery driver at the Main House front door and not at your room door. This ensures the safety, security, and privacy of all our guests, and removes the guesswork in delivering food to you.

 Activities

Riversong Inn Retreat provides 26 acres of amazing beauty. A relaxing walk down by the river and through the meadows or a leisurely hike up our own Seven Benches Trail gives you a feast for the body and mind.

The tranquil river area is a place where we perform weddings and vow renewals. There is a round flagstone area where these events occur. You will also find ponds, fishing streams, benches and even an outdoor fireplace! Imagine you and your partner sitting by a great old fireplace alone in the wilderness under the star covered sky. (Check with the Innkeeper to know if it’s safe to have an outdoor fire in the fireplace.)

The Seven Benches hiking trail is just to the right of the orange globe and to the left of the woodshed; look for the red heart on the tree. The trail is well marked and is casual. There are seven stone benches along the way for you and your sweetheart to stop and enjoy a kiss and an amazing view of the beautiful Colorado Rockies. At the top you can look over the town or into the Rocky Mountain National Park. You may even see the guided horse trails on our property used by the Cowpoke Corner Corral.

Take a picnic backpack lunch (24 hour notice – ask an Innkeeper for details) or borrow a book to enjoy the fresh air and beauty.

We have chairs and benches to enjoy the river, a giant chess board to challenge your partner and an array of wildlife to witness in their natural habitat. Take in the deer, elk, turkeys, bears, many different birds and, if you’re lucky, a bobcat or moose!

If you are looking for a way to remember your wonderful time here and the memories that you are about to make, we do sell our handmade pottery mugs that feature a sketch of the Inn done by a local artist. Just ask your Innkeeper!

Recycling Bins and Water Conservation

We strive to do our part to keep the environment and beautiful landscape of the Rocky Mountains healthy. Estes Park has a free recycling program and we are delighted to take part in it. In your room you will find a blue recycling container, that can be used for paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, tin cans and aluminum cans. Please do not place used products such as Kleenex into the recycle bin.

If you would like to help conserve water by reusing your towels, hang them up or drape them over your shower. However, if you want us to replace your towels, feel free to leave them on the floor or in the tub.

There is also a recycle bin in the Guest Services room next to the ice machine.

Comfort
There are robes in the closet for your comfort while you are here. Remember to sit back and relax on your private deck among the trees.

Come enjoy homemade cookies available all day and night in the Guest Services Room. You can also enjoy our living room where there are comfy couches, games to play, books to borrow, and wine glasses with bottle openers.
